Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an Associate Trainee to join our Banking & Finance team in Milan. The successful candidate will work on a varied portfolio of domestic and cross-border financings for financial institutions, private debt providers, sponsors and large corporates.

The role offers responsibility across the full lifecycle of transactions, from structuring and due diligence through drafting, negotiation, signing and closing.

Competenze

• Qualified to practise law in Italy and relevant post-qualification experience in banking & finance.
• Experience in acquisition and leveraged finance; knowledge of private credit, corporate lending, refinancing or real estate finance.
• Experience advising banks, private debt funds, sponsors, investment vehicles, corporates or SMEs on cross-border matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Collaborative, organized, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Advise on domestic and cross-border acquisition finance, leveraged finance, private credit, corporate lending, refinancing and real estate finance.
• Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents, and other transaction documents.
• Support structuring and execution of senior, unitranche, subordinated and mezzanine financings.
• Manage due diligence, conditions precedent, signing and closing processes with clients and advisers.
• Provide clear, practical advice to lenders, borrowers, sponsors and investment vehicles.
• Coordinate across practice groups and offices on multi-jurisdictional matters and contribute to know-how and business development.
• Support and supervise junior lawyers while owning workstreams and timetables.
