An established industry player is seeking a skilled Baker to ensure the smooth operation of their Bakery Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for the production, quality, and presentation of a variety of breads, while adhering to health regulations and company standards. Your expertise will help minimize waste and maintain food costs, while your attention to detail will ensure compliance during inspections. Ensure the smooth and efficient operation and control of the Bakery Shop and daily production according to company policies.
Responsible for the production, quality, and presentation of the bread assortment used in daily menus.
Assist the Head Baker in preparing production forecasts and recording leftovers to avoid wastage and maintain food costs within budget.
Assist in setting up bread displays in various buffets.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of United States Public Health rules and regulations and ensure daily compliance.
Ensure the bakery shop is cleaned according to the Executive Chef’s schedule, using proper methods to minimize equipment damage.
Prepare the bakery for any announced or unannounced USPH inspections, whether by the ship’s management or USPH inspectors.
Handle requisition and transportation of necessary items from the main stores to the bakery when assigned.
Follow recipes and yields in accordance with company standards.
Assist the CDP Baker with completing the daily consumption recap as required by the Executive Chef.
Acquire necessary knowledge to comply with the ship’s standard operations and assist guests and crew with inquiries.
Attend meetings, training activities, courses, and other work-related activities as required.
