Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Java fundamentals, multithreading and patterns.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of Maven/Gradle and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Oracle DB and SQL.

The team comprises enthusiastic professionals working in an international environment, dedicated to learning new technologies and fundamentally changing how Deutsche Bank operates.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Backend Engineer to join our uFlow team within the Service Solution & AI and Services tribe. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core application modules for uFlow, a critical component of our service offerings. This is a hands-on position where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and directly impact the success of our products.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design & Development: Design and develop core application modules using Java, Spring Boot, Camunda/Fluxnova, and Oracle DB.


• Requirements Gathering: Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to understand business needs and translate them into robust technical requirements.


• Task Estimation: Decompose complex tasks into manageable units and provide accurate effort estimations.


• Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve bugs, write comprehensive unit tests, and perform code reviews to ensure high-quality delivery.


• DevOps Support: Help maintain the technical infrastructure, including continuous integration and automated deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.


• Mentorship: Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning.


• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in backend development.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor or Master Degree in computer science or similar


• Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience in Java.


• Core Concepts: Strong understanding of Java Core concepts, multithreading, and software design patterns.


• Frameworks & APIs: Solid experience working with Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.


• Build Tools: Proficiency with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.


• Collaboration Tools: Experience using JIRA, Git (Stash/Bitbucket), and Confluence for project management and collaboration.


• Databases: Practical experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle DB, and basic-to-intermediate SQL knowledge.


• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, a proactive problem-solving attitude, and a strong desire to learn.

Nice To Have

• BPM Tools: Hands-on experience with BPM engines (Camunda or Fluxnova preferred).


• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


• Advanced DB: Strong SQL optimization skills and experience with advanced database concepts.


• Containers: Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Helm for container orchestration.


• Leadership: Demonstrated technical leadership skills or experience mentoring junior engineers.
