Nimis Consulting in Rome is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and build modern distributed systems. You will develop backend services in Rust and contribute to architecture while maintaining strong emphasis on reliability and security.

The role focuses on long-term products, with in-person work preferred and a hybrid option. English documentation and discussions are required, and candidates should be comfortable with AI-assisted tooling to boost efficiency.

Competenze

• 2+ years of professional experience developing backend applications.
• Familiarity with distributed and asynchronous systems, including eventual consistency, idempotency, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with Git workflows and collaboration in teams.
• Able to read and write technical documentation in English.
• Strong engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Curiosity, pragmatism, and willingness to continuously learn.
