Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and evolution of our IoT platform. You will focus on backend services, APIs, data processing, integrations, and cloud-native architecture while collaborating with international stakeholders and engineering teams.

The role requires strong backend engineering experience, solid software design skills, and the ability to work independently in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Solid experience designing and implementing backend services and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with relational and/or time-series databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services for a cloud-based IoT platform.
• Build reliable, scalable, and secure APIs used by Web/mobile apps, devices, and external systems.
• Contribute to the architecture of backend components, microservices, data flows, and integrations.
• Work on features related to device management, telemetry ingestion, user management, notifications, reporting, firmware updates, and system integrations.
