Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Backend Developer. The Backend Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic of applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The role involves creating and managing database schemas, implementing core application logic, collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic, and enhancing the product with new features based on user feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong Backend Web Development and Software Development skills.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Proficiency in Python and at least one other programming language.
• Experience with Backend tech stack: FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic (Python), SQL, PostgreSQL.
• Shell scripting for Linux, Terraform, AWS, CI/CD.
• Experience with API design: GraphQL, REST.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with database management and design.
• Knowledge of AI or ML applications in financial technology is a plus.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to travel to our new Rome office on a regular basis depending on business needs.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong ambition and work ethic: results-oriented, driven, no 9-5 mentality.
