Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Backend Developer. The Backend Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic of applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The role involves creating and managing database schemas, implementing core application logic, collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic, and enhancing the product with new features based on user feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong Backend Web Development and Software Development skills
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Proficiency in Python and at least one other programming language
• Experience with Backend tech stack :
• FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic (Python)
• SQL, PostgreSQL
• Shell scripting for Linux, Terraform
• AWS, CI / CD
• Experience with API design : GraphQL, REST
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Experience with database management and design
• Knowledge of AI or ML applications in financial technology is a plus
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Ability to travel to our new Rome office on a regular basis depending on business needs
• Proficiency in English
