The Role

Join our leading fintech company as a developer, in the backend product development team, contributing to the core systems that power our platform. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable backend solutions, ensuring code quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, driving the evolution of our platform to meet the demands of a rapidly growing user base and high-stakes financial operations. We’re looking for someone with experience in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, along with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical backend systems and make a meaningful impact in the financial industry.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain code for high-performance and scalable systems.
• Continuously improve system performance to handle a high volume of concurrent requests.
• Implement advanced security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure the system meets industry security standards.
• Ensure all processes and implementations comply with relevant local and international regulations requirements.
• Work closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical and functional requirements.
• Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and other technical challenges promptly.
• Collaborate on integrating payment systems, product platform and external systems.
• Contribute to all stages of the agile development cycle, including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes and methodologies within the team.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions.

We're looking for someone who must have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with solid experience
• Proficiency in Java programming.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Experience with Spring technologies, particularly Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security, for building robust and scalable applications.
• Knowledge of API development and integration, including RESTful services and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of software security principles and best practices
• Experience working on high-performance, scalable, and secure applications.
• Experience working in an agile environment, including familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing.
• Experience with handling large volumes of concurrent transactions or requests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, with good communication skills.
• Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies and approaches as needed.
• Expertise in building and managing distributed systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

It would be nice if you have

• Relevant certifications in cloud computing (AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, etc.), cybersecurity, or agile methodologies can be an advantage.
• Knowledge of payment systems is a plus.
• A proactive and results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Passion for fintech and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
