Sigma Defense is seeking a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer to be a hands-on Azure Virtual Desktop engineer who understands both the user-facing desktop experience and the Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting it.

As a mid-level engineer, the candidate should independently manage routine AVD engineering and operational responsibilities while collaborating with senior cloud, networking, security, and automation engineers on more complex initiatives.

Competenze

• 4+ years of relevant experience in VDI or enterprise Windows desktop environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience administering Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with FSLogix profile management.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and Windows administration.

Mansioni

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain AVD environments in Azure.
• Manage AVD host pools, session hosts, workspaces, and app groups.
• Monitor and troubleshoot user sessions, performance, and authentication.
• Build and deploy standardized Windows desktop images.
• Automate image management and deployment processes for AVD.
• Configure and maintain FSLogix profiles and containers.
• Work with security and network teams to ensure secure access and policy compliance.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and IaC.
• Monitor system health and user experience.
