Responsibilities

Your role as an Azure Data Engineer in NTT Data will be supporting customers in Big Data projects, working in partnership with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives. In this role, you will deliver data acquisition, transformations and improvement, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into data lakes in order to be consumed by analytics and machine learning models.

The Azure Data Engineer in NTT Data knows the challenges of a cloud native environment,

is able to think outside the box finding innovative, yet simple, solutions to everyday issues, and share those solutions with the rest of the team.

We are looking for an engineer who can bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear understanding of both fields.

If you are a Data Scientist seeking more experience in data preparation, or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, with a KAIZEN approach to continuously improve skills and knowledge, you can join NTT Data’s Business Intelligence Service Line, in an environment where Japanese and European cultures intertwine.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud native environment with at least one of the major public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure), with 5+ years on Azure preferred
• Knowledge of Big Data Architectures, both cloud and on-premise
• Experience with Azure infrastructure and networking
• Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept addressing specific business needs using appropriate techniques and technologies
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud
• Experience monitoring distributed infrastructure with Azure tools or open-source solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting
• SQL knowledge
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban
• Leadership experience managing medium-sized teams
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Apache Spark, Databricks, and other ETL/ELT tools
• Microsoft Certification: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Additional Big Data certifications (Cloudera, Databricks, etc.)
• Experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT solutions (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter, etc.)
• Experience with Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, etc.)
