A technology firm is seeking an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to streamline development processes and enhance security integration. The role involves monitoring and improving tools, driving enhancements based on feedback, and managing incidents. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools. This is a 100% remote position available for professionals based in Italy.

Overview

Role: Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer

Location: 100% remote from Italy - ONLY people based in Italy

Start: ASAP

Language required: English

Duration: 12 months + possible extensions

Contract: Freelancer / B2B contract / partita IVA

Responsibilities

• You will monitor and improve our development platform and ensure the smooth operation of all tools used throughout the software development lifecycle.
• You will play a crucial role in driving improvements based on developer feedback by applying techniques such as developer journey mapping to improve the overall experience.
• The seamless integration of security into the software development process is another essential aspect of your role.
• Analysing and solving problems with the tool stack and platforms is part of your daily tasks.
• Your experience with Azure Cloud is crucial as you will create, maintain and develop services using automation and self-service solutions.
• In addition, you will handle incidents, manage and remediate vulnerabilities, respond to support requests and implement necessary changes.
• Flexibility is key as you should be available for maintenance tasks outside of regular office hours.

Profile / Qualifications

• You have a solid IT education with several years of professional experience
• You enjoy setting up, optimising and further developing systems
• You are familiar with current industry standards and are constantly training yourself further
• You have a team-orientated personality, enjoy passing on your knowledge to colleagues and ensure good documentation.
• You have experience with the following solutions, concepts and technologies
• Azure Cloud Services (including AKS and API Management)
• Kubernetes (Rancher, AKS, Istio)
• CI / CD tool stack (preferably Bitbucket, Jenkins, ArgoCD, JFrog suite and optionally also Github / GitLab)
• Infrastructure as code (preferably Terraform or comparable)
• Scripting and automation technologies (Bash, Python, PowerShell, AzureAutomation)
• DevOps, DevSecOps and / or platform technology
• You are familiar with software development, especially scripting and the automation of cloud resources.
• You have a broad technical knowledge and a basic understanding of TCP / IP networks,
• Fluent English
