Job summary

PRISMA in Italy seeks a hardware validation engineer to plan, execute, and support tests across the product development lifecycle. You will work with electronics, mechanical, optical, and software teams to ensure robust designs and testability.

The role focuses on functional, electrical, thermal, and environmental testing, with emphasis on validating test strategies and coordinating external lab activities, including EMC and regulatory tests.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in hardware testing or validation within automotive or industrial electronics.
• Experience in automotive electronics testing.
• Knowledge of LED drivers, power electronics, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and schematic interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and support internal hardware validation and verification activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Participate in electronics design phase, contributing to testability and validation strategies.
• Define and execute hardware test plans, procedures, and setups.
• Perform functional, electrical, thermal, and environmental tests.
• Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate and support external laboratory tests, including EMC, environmental, and regulatory testing.
• Prepare test specifications, reports, and validation summaries.
