Responsibilities

• Join the Smart Engineering team as a FW/SW Embedded Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in the automotive sector.
• Develop SW/FW for embedded telematic devices.
• Analyze business and technical requirements.
• Design embedded SW solutions, with or without custom kernel code reuse.
• Implement SW for new telematic devices.
• Maintain SW on field-deployed telematic devices.
• Write technical documentation.
• Collaborate with peers and testing teams.
• Ensure compliance with SW quality standards (e.g., MISRA C, version control, reusability).

Mandatory Skills

• BSc/MSc in Computer, Electronic, Mechatronic, Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of C language.
• At least 3 years of embedded SW development experience on microcontrollers, using RTOS or bare-metal.
• Good understanding of communication buses (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
• Ability to operate laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, protocol analyzer).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (ISO OSI, TCP/IP, UDP/IP).
• Fluent in English (B2 level or above).

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with GNSS, AT commands for GSM/UMTS/LTE/CATM modems, motion sensors (accelerometers, gyroscopes), Bluetooth Low Energy.
