Job summary

BYD Milan Design Studio is seeking Junior, Senior, and Chief Digital Designers to contribute to exterior and interior digital expression, CAS modeling, rendering, animation, and AI-assisted design. You will support concept exploration and mass‑production scheme delivery from Milan, Italy.

Applicants should hold a design-related bachelor’s degree, possess a strong portfolio, and demonstrate fluent English, good aesthetic sense, and adaptability to new tools and workflows.

Qualifications

• Fluent English in speaking and writing is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a design major is required.
• Qualified automotive digital design portfolio is required.
• Good aesthetic taste and communication skills are required.
• Highly adaptable to new software, workflows, and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Junior: assist styling designers with digital sketching, modeling and rendering presentations; master polygon and NURBS modeling; finish basic digital tasks under guidance.
• Senior: independently deliver CAS data for concept and mass-production projects; skilled in parametric design, rendering, animation, video editing and AI creation; coordinate with styling and engineering teams and guide juniors.
• Chief: manage digital team; lead new digital tools and AI design workflows; coordinate global cross-department teams and optimize digital design efficiency.
