Automation Hardware Technical Support Europe

Join to apply for the Automation Hardware Technical Support Europe role at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist who will be remote-based in Italy or in Germany. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be in an international environment, providing second level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention. You will apply critical thinking to resolve appropriate action to rapidly repair instrumentation, train our customers and our Service Engineers, also support our Applications Team and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems in order to supply to our overall commercial organization.

You will operate independently basically in Italian / Germany territory and in Europe when needed (with overnight required as needed) to provide excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining Automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. We operate as a team to share standard methodologies, mentor and receive experienced technical support.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include/are:

• Provide second level technical support by resolving customer problems and issues on Automation Platforms.
• Apply troubleshooting expertise to rapidly repair instrumentation and verify operational performance and data quality.
• Train customers and Service Engineers; support the Applications Team and contribute to the commercial organization.
• Operate independently in Italian / German territory and, when needed, across Europe (overnight travel may be required).
• Install and maintain Automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.
• Collaborate within the team to share standard methodologies and mentor/receive support from experienced colleagues.

Essential requirements

• Biomedical engineer or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of Technical Support, Field Service experience with Diagnostics market.
• Early careers are welcome but with troubleshooting experience, gained during Thesis or Internships.
• Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
• Ability to travel and provide service in the whole country as well as periodic travel to other European countries and overnight travel. A current valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred qualifications

• Willing to work different shifts / flexible hours as business needs.
• Analytical mindset, able to analyze data, identify problems and find effective solutions.
