Overview

Automation Hardware Technical Support Europe role is remote-based in Italy or in Germany. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will operate in an international environment, providing second level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention, apply critical thinking to resolve actions to rapidly repair instrumentation, train customers and Service Engineers, support the Applications Team, and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems to support the overall commercial organization. You will work independently in the Italy/Germany territory and in Europe when needed, with overnight requirements as needed, to provide excellent customer service while installing and maintaining Automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. You will operate as part of a team to share standard methodologies, mentor, and receive experienced technical support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide second level technical support by resolving customer problems and issues on Automation Platforms.
  • Drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Apply critical thinking to determine appropriate actions to rapidly repair instrumentation.
  • Train customers and Service Engineers; support the Applications Team; verify operational performance and data quality of systems.
  • Operate independently in Italy/Germany and, when needed, across Europe (overnight travel may be required).
  • Install and maintain Automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.
  • Collaborate with a team to share standard methodologies, mentor colleagues, and provide or receive technical support.
Qualifications
  • Biomedical engineer or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of Technical Support, Field Service experience in the Diagnostics market.
  • Early careers welcome, with troubleshooting experience gained during thesis work or internships.
  • Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
  • Ability to travel domestically and periodically to other European countries; a current valid driver’s license is required.
  • Willingness to work different shifts/flexible hours as business needs.
  • Analytical mindset, ability to analyze data, identify problems and find effective solutions.
