Your Opportunity

The Field Technical Support Expert will report to the Field Technical Support Manager. The main responsibilities include:

• Perform installation, start-up, commissioning, and testing of Sidel’s high-complexity equipment supplied to customers’ plants.
• Provide technical assistance during and after the warranty period for high-complexity machines and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Support internal and external qualification of prototypes and technical modifications.

Your Mission

• Start-up, commissioning, testing, and servicing of high-complexity fillers.
• Provide onsite technical assistance during and after warranty for high-complexity machines.
• Intervene onsite to resolve technical issues through root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Enhance personal skills on complete combi, trade-associated equipment, and line equipment.
• Support in the workshop for internal qualification of prototypes (run-off, assembly, testing).
• Assist onsite in the external qualification of technical modifications and variants.
• Ensure equipment performance at the customer’s plant, adhering to technical, contractual, and safety specifications.

Your Profile

Level of Education and Languages

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Technical professional qualification.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; a good level of French is advantageous for local integration.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience in assembly, testing of complex machinery, or field and service activities, or technical assistance is advantageous.
• Deep knowledge of automation devices (PLC, HMI devices) focused on motion control from brands like Allen Bradley, Elau/Schneider Electric, B&R, and Siemens, and communication networks.
• Ability to manage stressful situations.
• Organized with the ability to produce professional reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and customer orientation.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technicians, customers, and other target groups.
