TMC in Bologna, Italy seeks an automation engineer specialized in PLC/DCS development and commissioning. You will program Siemens PLCs with TIA Portal or STEP 7, develop ladder logic, FBD and ST, and build robust HMI/SCADA interfaces for production lines.

You'll configure industrial networks, diagnose systems, and support FAT/SAT, start-up at client sites, and collaborate with electrical, mechanical and software teams to optimize performance.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience programming PLCs in automation projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61131-3 languages and their practical application.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs, TIA Portal or STEP 7, and HMI/SCADA development.

About this vacancy

The resource will be responsible for:

• Development, programming, and modification of automation systems PLC/DCS
• Programming Siemens PLC, using TIA Portal and/or STEP 7
• Programming using key languages of IEC 61131-3, particularly Ladder Logic (LAD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text (ST/SCL)
• Configuration and diagnostics of industrial control and automation systems
• Development and integration of HMI/SCADA interfaces
• Configuration and management of primary industrial communication networks and protocols
• Reading and interpreting electrical and automation schematics
• Support in activities related to electrical panels and automation panels
• Functional testing, debugging, and hardware/software troubleshooting
• Performing FAT and SAT activities
• Commissioning, startup, and testing of machines, production lines, and systems at the client's site
• Analyzing and resolving issues during installation and start-up phases
• Optimization of control logics and system performance
• Interfacing with electrical, mechanical, software teams, and the final client
