AUDIT ASSOCIATE

At RSM, associates work with large and small companies across various industries. They develop strong relationships with clients based on understanding their businesses and challenges. Associates participate in multiple team engagements annually, working on various aspects of each assignment. Working in a mutually respectful team environment helps our associates perform at their best and balance their careers with their personal lives.

Responsibilities :

1. Understanding clients' needs, expectations, business, industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values, and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
2. Developing an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools.
3. Assessing risks and evaluating the client's internal control structure.
4. Performing substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
5. Drafting financial statements in prescribed formats.

Basic Qualifications :

1. Minimum B.A / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university by the start of employment.
2. Accounting major.
3. Ability to travel to assigned client locations, with access to reliable transportation.
4. Willingness to travel up to 25%.
5. Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.

The salary range for this role is $63,360 - $75,600, with potential for discretionary bonuses based on performance.
