Want to help Earth's most customer-centric company design, implement, and monitor risk mitigation strategies to improve the customer experience and protect Amazon's brand?

In this role, you will work closely with Amazon's Last Mile transportation businesses to build strategic initiatives and frameworks that support carrier partners in meeting legal and contractual obligations related to business practices, driver/provider eligibility, and safety standards. You will be expected to apply risk and control concepts to new and existing business models, clearly and concisely communicate findings to senior leadership, and partner with cross-functional teams to design workflows supporting risk reduction activities. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, safety, legal, finance, tech, and HR teams to implement world-class, customer-centric compliance and risk management solutions.

This position requires periodic travel.

Key job responsibilities

• Define, develop, and implement risk programs and drive improvements quantified with metrics.
• Lead, monitor, and drive projects to completion on time.
• Establish successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical and strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Use data and insights to solve problems and drive tactical and strategic decisions.

A day in the life

The Audit & Compliance Manager will set program objectives, assign metrics to measure success, and drive business changes to reduce risk. The individual will oversee inspection activities, including consulting with carrier partners on corrective action plans and remediation. Collaboration with stakeholders across safety, legal, finance, tech, and HR teams will be essential to implement customer-centric compliance and risk management solutions.

About the team

Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) is the voice of risk and compliance for Amazon's transportation businesses across 16 regions. We proactively identify and manage risks through mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with transportation, legal, legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards. Our TRC leaders leverage expertise, processes, and technology to enhance public safety and support business growth.

Proven experience in compliance program management, legal governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or similar roles with strong analytical skills is required.

Fluency in English and Italian (C1 level, both spoken and written) is required.

Professional auditing or compliance credentials are preferred.

Experience with SQL and Excel

Experience in defining program requirements and using data and metrics for improvement is essential.
