DESCRIPTION

Amazon Fresh team is looking for talented Associate Vendor Managers who will be responsible for improving product selection and managing relationships with vendors.

Your Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER NEEDS

1. Support identification of customer needs through pulling of metrics and providing overviews of industry landscape
2. Continuously seek information to improve the customer experience and make recommendations to the business

1. Analyze existing reports to identify retail selection gaps
2. Audit vendor costs and ensure that procurement costs are in line with goals
3. Create and manage contractual agreements
4. Prioritize vendor resources to improve customer experience, product availability and lower prices and costs
5. Responsible for creating product knowledge
6. Implement promotional programs for vendor(s)

1. Review and analyze vendor output metrics to make decisions regarding pricing, selection, and convenience and drive vendors to improve
2. Manage the promotion setup and launch
3. Regularly audit all vendor elements, perform deep dive analysis on problems to understand root causes and make decisions based on data
4. Act as an escalation point to respond to customer needs for vendor(s)
5. Educate vendor(s) on tools, processes and resources

1. Identify opportunities to improve retail tools and systems
2. Simplify or automate tasks to drive improved business performance
3. Manage products from launch to end of life with the goal of automating any manual tasks
4. May work with tech team to drive process change

1. Onboard new vendors and ensure their growth throughout the year
2. Manage a portfolio of vendors to drive growth and improve profitability
3. Analyze sales and key metrics to identify business opportunities
4. Provide recommendations to improve sales, margin, and ASP
5. Manage and build comprehensive selection through strong vendor relationships
6. Monitor and research industry and competitive trends
7. Liaise with vendors and other operational departments to resolve product or supply-chain queries swiftly and accurately
8. Drive process improvements to enable scalable growth

1. Master's degree ideally in a technical or analytical discipline
2. Professional experience ideally in an online, retail, e-commerce or consulting environment
3. Proven ability to influence others in a business setting
4. Assertiveness, excellent communication skills
5. Analytical skills and experience in planning and forecasting
6. Proven ability to use supporting tools and systems to deliver business improvements
7. Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
8. Bias for action and results-oriented mentality, combined with the ability to work in a demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is a must
9. Ability to solve problems with creative ideas and innovation
10. Fluent in English and Italian - both verbal and written

3. Multiple years of professional experience in a related field
