Job Description

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Associate Signalling Configuration Engineer to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role involves tasks ranging from administrative to strategic, based in Naples, Italy.

Accountabilities

• Ensure data collection from scheme plans and sources using configuration tools.
• Contribute to delivering subsystem configurations, including data collection, preparation, and production checks.
• Control configuration documents and executable files according to company processes.
• Execute assigned integration lab tests or parts thereof.
• Correct defects in configurations during validation and site testing.

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Positive attitude towards relationships with others.
• Ability to prepare technical specifications and papers.
• Skills in Microsoft Windows, Office, and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad for railway and metro installations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Preferable: Basic knowledge of electrical and relay circuits.
• Preferable: Understanding of software programming logic and relational databases.

Education / Qualifications

Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.

Languages

Proficient in English (written and spoken).
