McKinsey & Company in Milan seeks a versatile Associate for McKinsey Digital to contribute to IT strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise IT initiatives. You will work with clients and teams to analyze information, test hypotheses, and develop actionable recommendations.

You'll receive mentoring and formal training, with exposure to multiple industries and cross-functional projects, accelerating leadership growth in a high-performance culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master degree required
• Outstanding records of academic and managerial or professional achievement within a technology consulting firm
• 4+ years of work experience and expertise preferred in one or more of the following: IT strategy consulting, digital transformation, application development, enterprise application, IT architecture, IT infrastructure, E-commerce and E-business, multichannel strategy, digital payments
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual problem-solving ability
• Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
• English and Italian proficiency required

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Playing an active role in all aspects of a client project, you will typically work in teams of 3 – 5 consultants. McKinsey Digital consultants share a passion for helping clients use technology strategically to change industries, transform business models, and create competitive advantage. Your work will include gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You’ll also have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.

You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on their teams. This support includes a partner from your local office or practice assigned to you to help guide your career as well as up to five weeks of formal training in your first two years as an Associate. Additionally, you'll receive guidance and support from your local office or practice in the selection of client projects, helping you to develop your skills and build your network.

While all consultants develop specialized knowledge and a focused program as they progress with McKinsey, in your first few years you will have an opportunity to work on a broad range of topics across industries and functions. For consultants who join McKinsey as experienced professionals, this can mean building on previous knowledge or developing unique experience in an area that is completely new.

You’ll work with McKinsey Digital in Milan. This group brings together the best of McKinsey’s digital capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.

As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to agile, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm.

You’ll also work with colleagues from across McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses, both on technology and non-technology topics.
