Job Description

The Opportunity:

Manage day-to-day licensing business relationships in Italy, covering all Hardlines partners. Identify, pitch, and negotiate new business opportunities. Lead Italy Hardlines strategy and build relationships with leading retailers.

What Your Impact Will Be:
LICENSEE MANAGEMENT:
  • Manage existing licensing deals, including master toy and licensee relationships.
  • Support the Hardlines country strategy and own retail strategies.
  • Develop detailed joint business plans with forecast, budget, and marketing calendars.
  • Present pitches and marketing plans across Mattel’s IP portfolio.
  • Conduct regular meetings and reviews, track financial goals.
  • Ensure marketing support for top items and local market strategy execution.
NEW BUSINESS:
  • Research and pitch new category opportunities.
  • Secure licensing deals and negotiate renewals.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events.
STRATEGY:
  • Support market strategy development.
  • Analyze market trends, identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams.
  • Develop joint business and marketing plans.
  • Share best practices and innovate to grow the business.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Experience in licensing, marketing, or sales.
  • Knowledge of licensing environment, especially in Hardlines or toy industry.
  • Experience managing joint business plans and financial forecasts.

Skills & Education:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Growth mindset, creative problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
