Role / Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for driving the sales process for Moody’s Risk, Finance & Lending products. The role requires identification and targeting of prospects, initiating new sales activity, and managing sales cycles to closure. Additionally, the role will assess client needs and provide client-specific customer service.
- Work with Relationship Managers and other senior product specialists to help drive the sales process by identifying and targeting prospects, initiating new sales activity, and managing sales cycles to closure.
- Help develop business within respective territories by product.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Product Strategy to improve product quality and develop new revenue sources.
- Provide insightful, client-specific customer service.
- Discuss Risk and Finance Solutions topics such as Portfolio Management, IFRS9, Model Risk Management, Stress Testing, and modeling consulting services.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle, including providing forecasts and pipeline updates to management.
- Understand client needs based on their business requirements.
- Identify additional products and services that could benefit clients and introduce them appropriately.
- Act as the market and product/service expert during sales cycles.
- Serve as the main liaison between the client, client service team, and implementation organization for each opportunity.
- Coordinate responses to product and service information requests from prospects and clients.
- Contribute to market insight comments to enhance Moody’s internal and external awareness.
- Assist in training new team members.
Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales roles serving financial services and/or corporate treasury clients.
- Strong understanding of the global financial services industry, market dynamics, and customer drivers.
- Ability to present high-level information and detailed product demonstrations.
- Proven ability to lead complex sales cycles using consultative selling techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with high attention to detail.
- Experience interacting with senior executives internally and externally.
- Knowledge of Moody’s Analytics Risk and Finance Solutions is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience.
