Associate Director, Medical Project Management, HIV Prevention and LEN for PrEP

Gilead Sciences in Milan, Italy, is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Associate Director, Medical Project Management, HIV Prevention and LEN for PrEP. This full-time position reports to the Senior Director of Medical Affairs HIV and focuses on meeting the scientific needs related to HIV prevention, engaging healthcare professionals, authorities, patient advocates, and NGOs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and execution of the Medical Affairs HIV plan of action for HIV prevention.
  • Collaborating with medical and field teams to coordinate scientific engagement efforts.
  • Enhancing HIV prevention efforts through non-promotional medical education programs for HCPs and community audiences.
  • Developing educational resources on HIV prevention topics.
  • Providing medical leadership for advisory programs and supporting community-based research initiatives across Italy.
  • Establishing strong interdepartmental collaborations and communicating Gilead’s commitment to scientific excellence.
  • Managing drug safety, pharmacovigilance activities, and supporting Medical Affairs systems and applications.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA, or similar qualification.
  • Experience with HIV community work or education is mandatory.
  • Strong medical/scientific background in HIV.
  • Minimum 5 years of Pharma industry experience in Medical Affairs preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.

Position requires approximately 30% travel and is office-based in Milan.
