Job Scope

The Assistant Human Resources Manager will handle various HR functions, including staffing, employee relations, training, payroll, and more. You will work independently and with a team to support the organization's goals, developing strategic initiatives and building relationships across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage HR functions for Dubai, including recruitment, compensation, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to improve effectiveness within UAE.
  • Ensure accurate payroll, attendance, leave, and OT records.
  • Maintain departmental records and reports.
  • Enhance employee productivity and commitment.
  • Build relationships within the team and act as a point of contact.
  • Support HR strategies for Italy operations.
  • Build strong relationships with leadership and advise on management issues.
  • Design and implement engagement initiatives and process improvements.
  • Visit fields to build relationships with managers and staff.
  • Assist in identifying gaps, planning for risks, and driving performance improvements.
  • Lead positive change in people management and organizational vitality.
  • Understand organizational structure and propose impactful changes.
  • Model the company's culture and lead by example.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with staff.
  • Manage offboarding processes and exit interviews.
  • Handle grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Review staffing procedures and documentation.
  • Support ad-hoc HR projects and assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • 7-8 years of relevant experience in a large, fast-paced organization.
  • Experience in hospitality or travel industry preferred.
  • Experience in policy setup and enforcement advantageous.
  • Independent, proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of management principles.
  • Strong team player with commitment to quality and deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office, HRIS, and payroll systems.
  • Excellent command of English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
