Avis Budget Group in Rome is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our finance team on a 9-month maternity cover contract. You will oversee accounting operations under US GAAP, coordinate monthly closings, and ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires strong analytical ability, English proficiency, and experience with Excel and ERP systems, particularly Oracle Cloud. You will lead a small team and support audits and statutory statements under ITA GAAP.

Competenze

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ITA GAAP.
Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven team management capabilities.
Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems (Oracle Cloud).
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced, professional English level.

Mansioni

Supervise accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial data under US GAAP.
Coordinate monthly closing activities for reporting purposes.
Review balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure proper recording of revenues, expenses, depreciation, accruals, and deferrals.
Review and approve adjusting and correcting journal entries.
Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with ITA GAAP.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation.
Support special projects.
