As an Assistant Copywriter for the Food Business, we are looking for a dynamic and talented individual to play an important role in planning and writing engaging copy across multiple touchpoints : online editorial, email, direct mail, and app. These communications would be aligned with the objectives of the Food BU to engage and inspire our customers, drive loyalty, and deliver sustainable long-term value to the business.

We are seeking a food lover with strong writing and planning skills to support the Food Online Food Editor.

Key accountabilities and measures

  • Manage small-scale copy requests for trading pages and assist the Copywriter with larger projects.
  • Respond to feedback from peers and stakeholders, editing copy accordingly.
  • Assist with CRM copy and online communications.
  • Align communications with the objectives of the Food Marketing and Brand Communications teams.
  • Collaborate with Design, CRM, and Marketing teams to highlight proof points and tell the stories of our Food products' quality and provenance.
  • Coordinate with category marketing managers to gather information for briefs.
  • Incorporate the company's tone of voice into all copy.
  • Manage approvals with internal stakeholders for wider team copy work.
  • Support Editors in planning online editorial content.
  • Participate in marketing meetings and contribute to presentations.
