Job Description:

A well-established firm operating in the Audit and Accounting Industry is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire an Assistant Compliance Officer, for full-time employment at their offices in Nicosia. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and making recommendations for the department by monitoring and assessing the level of compliance risk that the Company faces.
  2. Monitoring the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures and procedures of the Company, making necessary amendments to ensure compliance with ICPAC requirements.
  3. Designing and implementing the Company’s Compliance/AML/GDPR policies and monitoring procedures.
  4. Preparing the Annual Compliance Officer Report.
  5. Supporting the Head of Compliance by monitoring and assessing the measures and procedures in place to detect any risk of failure by the Company to comply with Law 87(I)/2017.
  6. Ensuring that the Company’s reporting obligations and relevant notifications to ICPAC are made accurately, promptly, and within deadlines.
  7. Liaising with the Company’s External and Internal Auditors, providing necessary information for their annual examination.
  8. Staying updated with changes in the legal framework and suggesting necessary implementations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  9. Maintaining orderly records of Company’s correspondence with ICPAC and other authorities, both electronically and in hard copy.
  10. Providing guidance and assistance to all departments regarding compliance inquiries.
  11. Training staff about compliance functions as necessary.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  1. University Degree in Legal, Finance, Economics, or similar fields.
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant or similar position.
  3. Experience within a regulated company is an advantage.
  4. Preferably holding CySEC Certificates of Professional Competence.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
  6. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Goal-oriented, professional, and proactive.
  8. Adaptability, resilience, and efficiency.
