A well-established firm operating in the Audit and Accounting Industry is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire an Assistant Compliance Officer, for full-time employment at their offices in Nicosia. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Reporting to the Head of Compliance and making recommendations for the department by monitoring and assessing the level of compliance risk that the Company faces.
- Monitoring the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures and procedures of the Company, making necessary amendments to ensure compliance with ICPAC requirements.
- Designing and implementing the Company’s Compliance/AML/GDPR policies and monitoring procedures.
- Preparing the Annual Compliance Officer Report.
- Supporting the Head of Compliance by monitoring and assessing the measures and procedures in place to detect any risk of failure by the Company to comply with Law 87(I)/2017.
- Ensuring that the Company’s reporting obligations and relevant notifications to ICPAC are made accurately, promptly, and within deadlines.
- Liaising with the Company’s External and Internal Auditors, providing necessary information for their annual examination.
- Staying updated with changes in the legal framework and suggesting necessary implementations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintaining orderly records of Company’s correspondence with ICPAC and other authorities, both electronically and in hard copy.
- Providing guidance and assistance to all departments regarding compliance inquiries.
- Training staff about compliance functions as necessary.
CANDIDATE PROFILE- University Degree in Legal, Finance, Economics, or similar fields.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant or similar position.
- Experience within a regulated company is an advantage.
- Preferably holding CySEC Certificates of Professional Competence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Goal-oriented, professional, and proactive.
- Adaptability, resilience, and efficiency.
