Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Asset Manager to join our Equity Real Estate team in Milan. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Asset and Transaction Managers across the full investment lifecycle of real estate projects, from acquisition, permitting and development to leasing, financing, and divestment, with a specific focus on value-add deals.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support in the management of the Italian Barings real estate assets
  • Assistance in permitting processes, development phases, and leasing activities alongside senior Asset Manager
  • Assist with implementing asset management initiatives including lease prolongations and lease restructuring
  • Support the Transactions team during asset acquisitions and disposal processes
  • Prepare and update internal reports for Portfolio Managers and Investors, including business plan updates and scenario analyses
  • Deal with all advisors involved in the management of the assets, such as property managers, agents, brokers, valuers, architects, SGRs, insurers, partners, etc.
  • Maintain and analyze asset-level data to support investment decisions and strategic planning
  • Implementation of ESG strategies in accordance with Barings' objectives, policies and procedures
  • Liaison with internal teams including Finance, Research, Portfolio Management, ESG
Required Qualifications
  • Fluency in both Italian and English
  • At least 2 years of experience in real estate, ideally in asset management or advisory roles
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and the Office
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • A good working knowledge of the technical, legal and regulatory provisions associated with the role.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
