ASIC System Architect for Smart MEMS Sensors
Specialista Senior / Project Manager

Company Description
Bosch Sensortec develops and markets key technologies in consumer electronics - micro-electro-mechanical sensors (MEMS), solutions and systems for smartphone applications, tablets, video game consoles, wearables, and the Internet of things. The sensors enable devices to recognize their surroundings and to transmit the data collected. MEMS are therefore part of the foundation for a networked world.

Job Description
In our Milan ASIC development center we develop application specified integrated circuits (ASICs) for Bosch Sensortec and Bosch Automotive Electronics. Your responsibility will be the development of high performance sensor interface circuits for automotive applications.

  1. ASIC architect for complex ASIC development projects with technical coordination and technical responsibility.
  2. Analysis of customer requirements, derivation of hard- and software specific aspects.
  3. Assessment of possibilities for realization and solution concepts, creation of ASIC target specification.
  4. Full technical development coordination of ASIC-internal circuits, modules and interfaces.
  5. Definition and engineering of experimental setups for ASIC validation.
  6. Perceiving and removing technical obstacles in development progress, assessment of intermediate results.
  7. Initiating further development, either internally, either at system provider or external development partners.
  8. Development of new ASIC concepts and architectures with new semiconductor technologies, in close cooperation with internal and external research and development facilities.

Qualifications
* Experience: 3-5 years of industry experience or PhD with understanding of MEMS, analog frontends, digital filtering and signal processing, microcontrollers and/or embedded SW, development of the ASIC reference model with state of the art modeling languages like SystemC.
* High level of interdisciplinary teamwork, customer orientation, creative drive and entrepreneurial mindset.
* You know how to build system models, you are analytically strong and well-structured.
* You convince with your ideas and are a positive team player with cross cultural competence.
* Fluent English (B2 as minimum level), German as a plus.
* Master or equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or similar major with outstanding result.

Mandatory skills:
* Advanced experience in modeling and simulation tools:

  • SystemC
  • Transaction Level Modeling (TLM)
  • Simulink
  • Cadence design framework

* Advanced knowledge and experience in modeling approaches and simulation in ASIC system design (functional and performance aspects).
* Software engineering experience, C and C++ programming languages, Python.
* Project leadership (basic) experience and ability to work independently while effectively managing concurrent technical tasks with competing priorities.
* Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate comprehensive knowledge effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.

Desired Skills:
* SW verification strategies based on SW/HW co-design and computational platform modeling.
