About the Role:

Galeries Bartoux is seeking Art Sales Consultants (M/F) for their upcoming opening in Venice, Italy. This incredible Art Adventure in a huge space mixing an Art Gallery & immersive exposition area in the heart of Venise will open its doors from September 2025. We are offering an initial fixed-term contract between 6 & 8 months, with the possibility of moving to a permanent position. Reporting to the Gallery Manager, your missions, if you accept them, will be as follows:

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients, provide accurate and clear information with a high-quality level of service
  • Offer an exceptional, luxurious, sales experience & Art advice to our public & Customers
  • Provide excellent service by following up with each client on delivery steps, administrative tasks, and feedback on their gallery experience
  • Be comfortable selling high value Art pieces & Negotiations
  • Manage customers relationships by building strong relationships
  • Provide commercial and administrative support
  • Support the Gallery's internal organization - Light Art handling may be required
  • Actively participate in event planning in collaboration with the Marketing department
  • Support the daily maintenance of the Gallery

We implement an onboarding system for our new employees by mentoring, offering you training on Contemporary Art and sales techniques specific to Galeries Bartoux. You will benefit personalized support to succeed within our team.

In addition, we offer real opportunities for professional development. You will be able to move & visit our various international galleries through internal mobility, based on your ambitions and performance.

Qualifications:

Graduated from a business school or a BTS (Higher National Diploma in Sales or Art World), you are trained and comfortable with sales techniques, with a minimum of 4 years of sales experience in a luxury environment, retail or in the Art industry.

  • Desire to work and invest within a team and company with strong growth potential
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills are highly recommended
  • Fluency in Italian & English are mandatory
  • Knowledge of French or another foreign language is highly valued

Pay range and compensation package:

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term, Permanent

Salary Monthly average: Between €2,500.00 & €5,000.00 gross per month depending on Sales com%.

Hours:

• Available on weekends

• Holiday work

Additional Compensation:

• Commissions on Sales
