Driven by great ambitions, we are planning the upcoming opening of a unique new space in Venice. Located in the heart of the Dorsoduro district, this former 16th-century theater is being transformed into a space combining an Art Gallery, Art coffee, and immersive experiences. About the Role:

Galeries Bartoux seeks a Gallery Manager (M/F) for the upcoming Venice opening scheduled for September 2025. This space will feature an Art Gallery and immersive exposition area. We offer an initial fixed-term contract of 6-8 months, with potential for a permanent position. Reporting to the Local Director in Venice and the executive team in France, your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service, exceeding expectations by following our sales protocols
• Represent the company's luxury image through personal presentation, attitude, and behavior
• Negotiate sales within authorized limits
• Supervise gallery sales and team performance to meet monthly targets
• Maintain the gallery’s luxurious image
• Ensure artworks are properly displayed and referenced
• Organize artwork setup (MEP)
• Manage stock controls and ensure accurate inventory records

Administrative Tasks:

• Track follow-up files
• Manage stock, imports, exports, transit, storage, inventories, and packing of artworks
• Manage the gallery schedule according to local standards
• Oversee customer payments in line with purchase orders

Management Responsibilities:

• Participate in recruitment
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching
• Analyze sales data to optimize profits
• Ensure team awareness of KPIs and motivate achievement
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities
• Seek business growth opportunities
• Develop and maintain customer database
• Ensure proper operation following company policies
• Resolve customer complaints efficiently

We provide onboarding, mentorship, and training in contemporary art and sales techniques. Opportunities for professional development include internal mobility across our galleries worldwide.

Qualifications:

Degree from a business school or BTS in Sales or Art, with at least 7 years of experience in luxury retail or art sales, and management experience.

• Salary and Compensation:

Average monthly salary: €3,000 - €7,000 gross, depending on sales performance and targets.

Additional compensation includes commissions based on monthly net sales.
