Area Sales Manager, Italy - DE - Remote Office

Location : Remote (Home Office) in South Germany

Job Summary

We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Manager to build new and existing business with accounts in the defined country. As an Area Sales Manager, you will have a background in field sales, be adept at managing your own time, meeting customers face-to-face, and be a confident seller. Ideally, you come from a tools or electrical background with good knowledge and understanding of this sector.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work towards attainable monthly and annual sales targets to increase sales revenue and provide organic growth.
  • Develop the Distribution Channel for Cleco / Apex in Italy, including:
    • Presenting Cleco / Apex products and solutions to customers and prospects in the assigned area, with a focus on Italy.
    • Managing existing distributor base through evaluation, ranking, and benchmarking tools.
    • Identifying and developing new distributors, negotiating and closing contracts.
    • Focusing the distributor network on vertical markets, matching markets, and differentiated product offerings.
    • Identifying, developing, and managing new customers to achieve sales targets.
    • Handling quotations, negotiations, and order intake.
    • Conducting active market research, staying informed about competition and trends.

Critical Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 8+ years of sales experience within the industry, with experience selling similar products (Power Tools / Electrical).
  • Experience managing international distributor networks, specifically in Italy.
  • Experience in Market Management, specifically in Italy.
  • Proven sales track record as an Area Sales Manager.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within Italy and internationally.
  • Fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus.
  • Eligible to work in Germany and reside in South Germany (home office).
