Position: Area Sales Manager, Italy - DE - Remote Office

Location: Remote (Home Office) in South Germany

Job Summary

We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Manager to build new and existing business with accounts in Italy. The ideal candidate will have a background in field sales, be adept at managing their own time, meeting customers face-to-face, and be a confident seller. Experience in tools or electrical sectors and good sector knowledge are preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve attainable monthly and annual sales targets to increase revenue and foster organic growth.
  • Develop the distribution channel for Cleco / Apex in Italy, including:
    • Presenting products and solutions to customers and prospects, focusing on Italy.
    • Managing existing distributor relationships through evaluation, ranking, and benchmarking.
    • Identifying and developing new distributors, negotiating, and closing contracts.
    • Focusing the distributor network on vertical markets, matching markets, and differentiated products.
    • Identifying, developing, and managing new customers to meet sales targets.
    • Handling quotations, negotiations, and order intake.
    • Conducting active market research to stay informed about competition and trends.
Critical Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 8+ years of sales experience in the industry, with experience selling similar products (Power Tools / Electrical).
  • Experience managing international distributor networks, specifically in Italy.
  • Experience in market management within Italy.
  • Proven sales track record as an Area Sales Manager.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within Italy and internationally.
  • Fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus.
  • Eligible to work in Germany and reside in South Germany (home office).
