Overview

Area Sales Manager for Emilia Romagna, Toscana, Liguria and Sardegna. Location: Italy, field based. Reports to the National Sales Director.

About This Opportunity

The Area Sales Manager is a proven sales professional whose energy, focus and determination are matched by well-developed selling skills and people management expertise. The role will manage the regional area to meet sales goals in unit sales and revenue. The covered areas are Emilia Romagna, Toscana, Liguria and Sardegna. Candidates from all parts of northern Italy may apply. The role focuses on building and consolidating a motivated team and growing Align Technology’s Invisalign and iTero business. The candidate should be willing to take on challenging opportunities, take responsibility for mistakes, and ask for help when needed. The position requires in-depth knowledge of the market, Align’s value chain, applications and end markets to exploit business opportunities. This role reports to the National Sales Director.

Responsibilities
  • Meet regional sales objectives as set by the company
  • Drive sales growth and improve profitability to support the company’s objectives
  • Manage large accounts from exploration to closing and ensure growth following EMEA guidelines
  • Lead a team of Territory Managers
  • Develop and implement programs addressing sales growth strategies and goals (Practice Development, Key Account Management and Services), collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Clinical Education
  • Analyze the effectiveness of programs and drive growth through diverse channels
  • Develop, formulate and scale new distribution channels
  • Set up, manage and monitor agents/freelancers for regions
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Establish strong relationships with existing and new customers
  • Implement Align’s sales and marketing strategies
  • Partner with other line managers and collaborate with company employees
  • Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of the company’s products
  • Monitor competitors and refine strategy accordingly
  • Attend national and international meetings and exhibitions
  • Ensure data accuracy in the CRM system
  • Travel nationally and internationally as required
Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Comply with safety policies and report unsafe activities
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to meet departmental and company goals
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and ethics codes and communicate them within the team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
