Descrizione del lavoro

1. Primary Objective of Position
An Area Automation Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the most challenging installations and Level 3 escalations. This role also provides advanced technical training and coaching to ADD Engineers. The focus will be on Automation, with travel across EMEA up to 70%.

2. Major Accountabilities
· Lead automation project implementation across EMEA
· Handle Level 3 automation escalations across EMEA
· Provide support for designated products (Automation, Informatics)
· Manage escalated service support, troubleshooting, and repairs from Level 1 and Level 2
· Participate in customer visits to improve system performance
· Ensure completion of mandatory TSB and FA in EMEA
· Conduct inspections for new customers and laboratory sites for contracts and installations
· Prepare and participate in customer business reviews
· Monitor instrument reliability and develop service recovery plans for high-cost instruments
· Provide technical coaching and automation training for TSS and Abbott Ambassadors
· Propose and track initiatives to reduce CPB for Automation
· Collaborate with the Area Expert team for designated products
· Work with local teams for proactive customer visits to enhance automation system performance
· Analyze existing solutions to suggest improvements

3. Education
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. An engineering degree in medical, electrical, life sciences, or medical technology/biotechnical fields is preferred.

4. Background
· Minimum of 2 years experience with GLP and A36 automation systems
· Preferably 5 years of experience as a Technical Service Specialist or in a similar role, supported by references
· Proven ability to engage with customers, including key stakeholders and lab staff
· Good product and industry knowledge
· Strong experience in service delivery processes
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
· Technical expertise in the product line
· Coaching and training abilities
· Proficient in analytical tools and software
