Application Engineer in Digital Back-end

This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging and complex SoC projects at advanced technology nodes with a major company in the semiconductor domain. The Application Engineer will provide expert-level technical customer support for our products related to the Innovus and Tempus families of products of the Digital Implementation tool suite, focusing on Place and Route and Static Timing Analysis.

Responsibilities include identifying and tracking technical issues in customers’ digital IC design environment, developing and maintaining technical and soft skills to be recognized as a trusted EDA tool specialist with deep knowledge in digital IC tools, and behaving as a "Customer virtual team member."

The role involves working closely with the sales team to identify additional sales opportunities and develop strategies, assisting customers with digital IC design flow development, and supporting technical evaluations of new digital EDA tools, flows, and methodologies. The engineer will also contribute directly to key design projects by driving IC tools for critical tasks.

Position Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline
• 1 to 4 years of experience in the microelectronics/EDA industry
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, C-shell, TCL/TK programming and scripting
• Deep understanding of digital IC Place and Route (PnR)
• Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: digital circuit design (synthesis, implementation, DFT, STA), CAD support for digital IC design and related flows, logical, timing, and physical verification, STA, and equivalence checking
