Senior Digital IC Design Engineer

to join our team involved in developing integrated circuits for modern power systems.

This role offers exposure to the entire product lifecycle, from definition and requirements to IC design and silicon support, with a meaningful impact on our business development.

Location: Our VISHAY IC Design Team in Assago (MI) will design and bring to production complex analog and mixed power management ICs, primarily for high-performance computing systems.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing IC architectures.
2. Designing and specifying system blocks including RISC/ARM processors, DSP cores, and communication interfaces.
3. Specifying and designing digital and mixed-signal sub-systems.
4. Verifying design blocks at various levels.
5. Participating in product and technology roadmap planning.
6. Leading design reviews.
7. Prototyping and evaluating power control schemes using FPGA.
8. Designing low power ASICs from concept to post-layout evaluation.
9. Integrating chips, developing constraints, achieving timing closure, and supporting backend processes.
10. Implementing Design-For-Testability (DFT) including ATPG.
11. Maintaining engineering documentation.
12. Tracking and implementing design improvements.
13. Supporting test engineering, product engineering, and operations, including data reviews and yield analysis.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of digital circuit design experience in ASIC/SOC environments.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field; PhD or postgraduate degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, and verification.
• Knowledge of the backend flow from RTL to layout.
• Experience with digital signal processors or computational hardware is a plus.
• Experience with FPGA prototyping is advantageous.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
