We are currently looking for a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer in Italy to join our team focused on developing integrated circuits central to modern power systems.

This role involves working with an experienced team throughout the product lifecycle, from definition and requirements to IC design and silicon support, with significant impact on our business development.

Location: Assago (MI), Italy. The VISHAY IC Design Team will define, design, and bring to production complex analog & mixed-signal power management ICs, primarily for high-performance computing systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing IC architectures.
• Designing and specifying system blocks including RISC/ARM processors, DSP cores, and communication interfaces.
• Specifying and designing digital & mixed-signal subsystems.
• Verifying design blocks at various levels.
• Participating in product and technology roadmap planning and implementation.
• Leading design reviews.
• Prototyping FPGA and evaluating power control schemes.
• Designing low power ASICs from concept through post-layout.
• Supporting chip integration, synthesis, timing closure, and backend processes.
• Implementing Design-For-Testability (DFT) and ATPG.
• Maintaining engineering documentation.
• Tracking and implementing design improvements.
• Supporting testing, product engineering, and operations, including device yield analysis.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of digital circuit design experience in ASIC/SOC environments.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field; PhD or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, and verification.
• Knowledge of RTL to layout flow, including synthesis, static timing analysis, etc.
• Experience with digital signal processing hardware and FPGA prototyping is a plus.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.
