Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Italy is currently looking for a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer to join our team, involved in the development of integrated circuits at the heart of modern power systems.

This role involves working with an experienced team and being exposed to the entire product lifecycle from definition and requirements through IC design to silicon support.

This is a varied role with a significant impact on the organization’s business development.

Job Location: The VISHAY IC Design Team in Assago (MI) will define, design, and bring to production complex analog & mixed power management ICs, primarily for high-performance computing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop IC architectures.
• Design and specify system blocks including RISC / ARM processors, DSP cores, and communication interfaces.
• Specify and design digital & mixed-signal sub-systems.
• Verify design blocks at block, system, and chip levels.
• Participate in product and technology roadmap planning and implementation.
• Lead design reviews for your areas of responsibility.
• Prototype and evaluate power control schemes using FPGA.
• Design low power ASICs from concept to post-layout evaluation.
• Support chip integration, synthesis, timing closure, and backend processes.
• Implement Design-For-Testability (DFT) and ATPG for test coverage.
• Maintain engineering documentation per quality standards.
• Track and implement design improvements.
• Support test engineering, product engineering, and operations; participate in data reviews and yield analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of digital circuit design experience in ASIC / SOC environments.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field; PhD or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Proficiency in Verilog / SystemVerilog RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, and verification.
• Knowledge of the backend flow from RTL to layout, including synthesis, gate-level simulation, formal verification, lint, and static timing analysis.
• Experience with digital signal processors, computational hardware design, and FPGA prototyping is advantageous.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
