CNS Worldwide Executive Search is seeking an Application Marketing Specialist to join the Sales & Marketing division of a leading scientific instrumentation company.

The role involves supporting pre-sales activities, developing marketing content, and providing technical expertise for complex analytical equipment, especially in X-ray analytical technologies such as SAXS/SANS and XRD.

The ideal candidate combines scientific knowledge with marketing skills, demonstrating a passion for customer success, collaboration, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Business Development Support
  • Promote a customer-focused culture within the organization.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to align strategies and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Scientific Expertise & Market Engagement
    • Utilize advanced knowledge of X-ray analytical tools to support product development and demonstrate their applications.
    • Work with Marketing to create use cases and content that highlight product benefits and industry relevance.
    • Assist Sales in analyzing customer challenges and recommending suitable solutions.
    • Conduct product demonstrations emphasizing technical value.
  • Product Deployment & Evolution
    • Collaborate with Product Managers and Marketing to develop promotional materials.
    • Support communication of product updates and innovations.
    • Analyze customer and market needs to inform product strategy.
    • Perform market segmentation and competitive analysis.
    • Provide insights for feature improvements and differentiation.
    • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Customer Collaboration & Communication
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales process.
    • Build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Respond promptly to customer feedback and needs.
    Qualifications:
    • PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or related field focusing on analytical techniques.
    • Extensive experience with X-ray characterization tools (SAXS/SANS, XRD).
    • Proven ability to interpret and communicate complex analytical data.
    • Knowledge of instrumentation and scientific principles of X-ray analysis.
    • Skills in scientific data analysis and visualization.
    • Experience in scientific marketing activities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Proactive and curious, with a commitment to staying current with X-ray technologies.
    Reporting Line:

    Reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, working closely with application experts and product management.
