We are looking for an Application Engineer System Verification based in Milan, Italy.

Job purpose:

The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively to resolve customer issues, support technology adoption, and identify opportunities and risks. The AE will liaise with R&D and Marketing to communicate customer requirements, influence product development, and validate solutions.

The AE will support sales campaigns, develop skills to demonstrate solutions, and deliver training courses. The role involves travel to customer sites and significant customer interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical pre-sales support for Cadence Verification products, understanding the complete verification flow.
• Manage customer evaluations of Cadence verification solutions to showcase technology advantages.
• Assist customers in adopting Cadence technology through methodology and tool knowledge.
• Drive best practices, incorporate lessons learned into product development, and understand customer and competitor strategies.
• Perform methodology assessments and develop new verification methodologies leveraging Cadence technology.
• Participate in technical campaigns to promote technology adoption.

Requirements:

The candidate should have:

• A Master's degree in Electronic or Micro-Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Approximately 3-4 years of hands-on verification experience.
• Experience with Hardware Description and Verification languages like Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
• Understanding of verification flows and methodologies such as UVM, Coverage-Driven Verification, Assertion-based Verification, Low-Power Verification, and Software Driven Verification.
• Knowledge of protocols like AMBA, Ethernet, USB, PCIe, MIPI (not all required).
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages.
• Bonus: Experience with Formal property checking, UPF, C/C++, SystemC, TLM, or Specman e, and full SoC design flow knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Team-oriented attitude, maturity, and good judgment under pressure.
• Willingness to travel within Southern Europe and globally.
• Fluency in English and Italian; French is a plus.
