Job summary

Experts Group International is seeking an Application Engineer for its client, a semiconductor test equipment manufacturer, in Umbria, Italy. You will develop and validate test applications for customers’ devices, taking projects from hardware design through to final validation.

This hands-on role combines hardware, software and direct customer contact, with responsibilities spanning design, integration and documentation across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electronic Engineering.
• Knowledge of the different technology families of electronic and semiconductor devices.
• Experience with DxDesigner and Expedition (or similar schematic/PCB design tools).
• Programming skills in C/C++.
• Fluent Italian and good working English (preferred).

About the company

Our client is an established international manufacturer of semiconductor test and reliability equipment, supplying leading chipmakers worldwide, particularly in the automotive and high-reliability markets. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Application Engineer to join their Application Development team.

The role

Reporting to the Application Development Manager, you will develop and validate test applications for customers’ semiconductor devices, taking each project from hardware design through to final validation. It’s a hands‑on, technically varied role that combines hardware, software and direct customer contact.
