Flowserve - ComOps Applications Engineer

Flowserve is seeking a technically and commercially experienced salesperson for the office-based role of ComOps Applications Engineer. In this position, you will develop solutions for customers and partners in industrial and special applications. The Applications Engineer is responsible for preparing a variety of quotations for the Flowserve Pump Division Customer Portfolio. Key tasks include quotation preparation, specification review, price development, and analysis of terms and conditions. Coordination and interaction with internal teams (engineering, sales, supply chain) and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers) are essential.

Reporting Line: You will report to the ComOps Manager or Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain high-level interactions with the sales team, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure the best customer experience.
• Evaluate requests and generate solution proposals.
• Calculate costs, collaborating with relevant departments as necessary.
• Prepare technical and commercial offers.
• Monitor and manage the entire offer cycle, including technical alignment, price revisions, and CRM management.
• Manage risk assessments to mitigate technical and financial risks.
• Handle order acceptance, review, and ensure smooth handover to the Order Fulfillment team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical acumen and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience as an Applications Engineer or in similar roles such as inside sales representative or proposal engineer.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
