About the Role

The Application Engineer will support sales and project teams by creating technical solutions tailored for the tobacco industry. This role ensures customer needs are translated into practical, cost-effective designs that adhere to company standards. Key responsibilities include ensuring the technical accuracy of offers in the Tobacco Division and providing technical and commercial guidance to local offices.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to the Sales team, including feasibility analysis based on customer requirements;
  • Preparing and generating commercial offers, including layout drawings, technical documentation, and cost calculations;
  • Conducting technical training for subsidiaries and local teams to ensure consistent understanding of solutions and standards;
  • Participating in customer meetings to support the sales process and clarify technical aspects of proposed solutions;
  • Maintaining and updating price lists and cost databases for accurate offer generation;
  • Analyzing the existing solution portfolio to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement or standardization;
  • Collaborating with Engineering, R&D, and Product Management to develop or adapt solutions based on market and customer needs;
  • Supporting project execution by coordinating with design and production teams during handover phases.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related technical fields);
  • Solid technical foundation with a commercial mindset, ideally gained through experience in project-based industrial environments;
  • Basic understanding of industrial processes and automation principles, focusing on integrated production lines and packaging equipment;
  • Proficiency in 2D CAD software, especially AutoCAD;
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with IoT platforms for smart maintenance is a plus.
