Job Description

Location: Northern Italy - home office based

In this role, you will be a member of our Industry Cluster Mobility. You will contribute to the identification of our customer's unmet needs. In close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders like Product Management, R&D, Sales and Marketing, OEM's and Tiers, you will develop and implement solutions that create value for our customers and Borealis.

You will:

• Provide technical expertise, support and troubleshooting to the mobility industry for all types of parts used in interior, exterior and under-the-bonnet applications, as well as e-powertrain components
• Advise customers on product selection and support them in developing their business
• Assist customers in getting our products approved for their applications, using base resins and compounds for mobility applications - including standard fossil-based materials and our extensive range of recycled and / or renewable materials
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and translate them into product requirements and commercial potential
• Contribute to the development and implementation of product solutions for the identified needs of customers and other players in the value chain
• Provide general product and application support, troubleshooting, and claim handling as well as prepare documentation (e.g. product information, liability & compliance documents, analysis & quality data)
• Build and maintain a network with key stakeholders in the mobility / automotive industry
• Ensure internal application and processing knowledge is up to standard by proactively sharing technical expertise with Sales, Marketing, R&D and Operations

About you: To be successful in this role, you need to have good knowledge of polymer properties, performance, processing and conversion technologies, including injection molding, extrusion and compounding. You have gained this expertise through university studies in Polymer / Chemical Engineering and through professional experience in a customer facing role like technical service. Any experience in the automotive industry is a strong advantage.

Requirements include fluency in English, Italian language skills, and any additional local European languages are a plus. Beyond technical skills, your customers and colleagues recognize you as solution orientated and a curious and creative thinker who takes initiative to explore new business opportunities.
