A leading company in smart and sustainable mobility seeks an Application Engineer to support electrical and mechanical design for ERTMS/SCMT/SSC OnBoard projects. You will play a critical role in delivering engineering solutions, defining application data, and ensuring compliance with established norms.

Purpose of the Job

• Electrical and mechanical design and related drawings for ERTMS/SCMT/SSC OnBoard projects.
• Define, produce, and validate all the application data and parameters needed to customize the customer solution.

Organisational Reporting

• Direct report line to the Application Engineer Department Head, according to the Trainborne Project Engineering organization.
• Dotted report line to Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) during project execution.

Mission

Performance Measurement

• Deliver the content of Work Package by achieving the agreed QCD commitment.
• Understand and apply relevant Alstom rules, processes, methods, and tools: no deviation or shortcut, especially for SIL 4 subsystems.
• Number of design defects detected during the validation phases.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & mechanical design to produce and validate all the projects application drawings.
• Define, produce, and validate the application data, parameters, and data preparation files needed to customize the customer solution, either at System level or at Subsystem level.
• Provide technical assistance related to external supplier management.
• Support the PrEM in the Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, including equipment codification request and quantities.
• Manage all documents from the customer project to carry out application engineering studies during all project life.
• Manage projects Bill of Materials (BOM) according to EU norms like EN45545, REACH norms, and Obsolescence analysis.
