The Hallmark Company is currently hiring for a dynamic Maintenance Technician responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of all apartment equipment, including appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing. Maintains and improves the operating condition, quality, and integrity of all building systems and appearances. Must have own tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance, adhering to standardized diagnostic approaches.
• Possesses knowledge and tools to perform on-site repairs on HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, electrical and plumbing systems, and other equipment.
• Available for emergency maintenance calls 24/7 when scheduled.
• Assists in training Groundskeepers and entry-level Maintenance Technicians.
• Troubleshoots property systems and oversees repairs.
• Conducts inspections of building and alarm systems, and assists in preparing for regulatory inspections.
• Performs preventive maintenance, including winterizing facilities, inspecting HVAC systems, maintaining pools, and ensuring proper lighting and HVAC operation in vacant units.
• Inspects vacant units and completes turnovers, including painting as needed.
• Inspects subcontractors and documents work quality.
• Maintains grounds and interior areas, removing litter and debris.
• Removes snow and ice from walkways and driveways.
• Completes required training and administrative duties, including recording maintenance requests and managing inventory.
• Moves heavy equipment safely using proper tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum two years of maintenance experience or equivalent education and experience.
• HVAC and/or EPA certification.
• Previous experience in multifamily housing preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
• Fair Housing Certificate required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Work Location: Two locations, in person.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• On call, occasional overtime, weekends as needed
